Nine million of them are children.
Help them learn. Help them play.
Ninemillion.org is a UN Refugee Agency campaign providing refugee children with access to education, sports, and technology.
Stranded in a foreign land, many refugee children do not have access to a formal education, let alone the resources to play sports. Due to war and persecution they suffer enormously. Many are severely traumatized.
The UNHCR's ninemillion.org campaign is committed to giving the most vulnerable refugee and IDP children the chance to learn and play.
Visit ninemillion.org to learn more.
With your support, UNHCR can build schools, distribute textbooks, train teachers, and provide sports equipment to millions of refugee children around the world.
You can make a world of difference. Help them learn. Let them play.
Join the "i'm" initiative
Millions of refugee children are set to benefit from a new feature launched on the Windows Live Messenger service.
The "i'm" initiative connects users of the instant messaging program to the UN Refugee Agency’s ninemillion.org campaign, which aims to give the world's refugee children greater access to education and sport programs. ninemillion.org has been selected along with some of the most reputable non-profit organizations in the United States to be part of this unique initiative.
Users of the "i'm" program will have the option of clicking on ninemillion.org or one of the other eight causes. With each instant message conversation using "i'm," Microsoft will share a portion of the programs revenue with the selected organization. There is no limit to the amount that will be donated to ninemillion.org!
