Thanks to generous USA for UNHCR donors, families in east Aleppo, Syria, received emergency items to prepare for winter. These include blankets, mattresses, winter clothing, plastic sheets, containers to store water and fuel, hygiene kits and solar lights.

Millions of people are displaced inside Syria and in desperate need of aid. These vulnerable women, men and children are especially at risk during winter. Lack of adequate shelter, clothing, medical care and food make them vulnerable to respiratory diseases, hypothermia — and even death.
